AskAFIP™ is a comprehensive distance learning application which highlights the AFIP's work in pathology, radiology, and veterinary medicine, and links much of the work completed here at the AFIP over the past twenty years. Initially, it will allow users to query our collection for a specific diagnosis, but ultimately searches by finding or features will be possible. Queries will return a wide variety of material to the user, including:

AskAFIP™ has a wide target audience - not just pathologists and radiologists, but also physicians in related healthcare fields, as well as medical students. The application is provided free of charge to military healthcare providers and has been identified by the Army Surgeon General as an excellent way to provide CME to doctors deployed at the front lines of the global war on terrorism, doctors who might otherwise not have the opportunity to gain CME in more traditional fashion. It also provides the latest information at the most appropriate time for any doctor - right at the point of care.
